Prof Morris Ogenga Latigo, the Agago North County member of parliament has survived yet another motor accident. The accident occurred at around 4:00pm on Wednesday in Kalongo, Latigo's native village.
Eye witnesses say the MP's vehicle registration number, UBC 035A overturned on his way to Kitgum district. Latigo reportedly escaped uninjured. URN couldn't independently verify the reports as neither the MP nor his aide could be reached by the time of filing this story.
The number of the occupants of the vehicles is also unknown. This is the fourth road accident Prof Latigo has suffered since 2009. In October 2009, Prof Latigo survived a fatal accident along Kampala-Gulu highway. His driver Sam Tabu Onyenya and a young woman identified as Innocent Awor died on spot.
In January 2011, Latigo was involved in another accident on the same Gulu-Kampala highway in Kiryandongo district while returning from his constituency when his vehicle knocked pedal cyclist to death.
On January 30, 2018, the lawmaker was involved in another accident after his registration number UAV 269K rammed into a numberless trailer parked along Kampala highway in Kakooge in Luwero district.
