Police is investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a third-year Makerere University Business School (MUBS) student inside the university mosque. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Ibrahim Balabyeki.
His lifeless body was found lying in MUBS mosque on Tuesday evening. Preliminary police investigations show that Balabyeki entered the Mosque at around 1pm and performed the afternoon prayers.

According to witness statements, after the afternoon prayers, Balabyeki reportedly remained in the mosque to take a nap where he was later found dead. Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, says it still unclear what caused the death.
"His body was taken for postmortem to establish the cause of death. Until we know for sure, we cannot rule out foul play," Owoyesigyire told URN.
The postmortem was done today morning but the report is yet to be released.
